Tracks: Delphic - Good Life (Official London 2012 Single)

Returning from the fruits of their successes in 2009, we have Delphic who are back with new material, three years since the release of their debut album Acolyte. The new track called 'Good Life' is a bit more rhythmic and anthemic compared to the bands' earlier creations, and is a track that seems to take an influence from 80s pop. 'Good Life' arouses suspense at the beginning of the track and drops into a quirky sing-a-long chorus during the mid-rift.

Right now after the first few listens we're a bit unsure of our stance on this one as we were keen fans of the racy indie singles that once brought the band a top 10 album and a nomination for Best UK and Ireland Act at the MTV European Music Awards.

At the end of the video you will find that the single is indeed an official Olympic single, so it sits with Muse's London 2012 song 'Survival' as the theme to this summer's Games. Well, it'll probably earn the band a bit of publicity which will aid their long awaited return so we'll be look to later singles as opposed to this commercial love affair on which to judge the band's merits. Listen..

  • Good Life will be released on 23 July and will be available on all digital music stores.
