Back for Seconds: Everything Everything return after a successful debut album |
Following a largely successful debut album campaign with Man Alive which saw the band nominated for the BBC Sound of 2011 poll and also clinch a UK Top 20 album, in a music climate which is very unforgiving for bands at the moment, Everything Everything return with the flagship single of what should mark their long-awaited sophomore album Arc.
The band - which was formed whilst the quartet were attending university in Greater Manchester - consists of members from right across the UK (and its dependencies), with origins from Tynedale, Kent and Guernsey. We have been eager fans of Everything Everything ever since they popped up nearly two years ago, having seen them live at the NME Awards Tour and Leeds Festival in 2011.
With a strong back catalogue of singles which include 'MY KZ, UR BF', 'Schoolin', and 'Photoshop Handsome', their latest record 'Cough Cough' is arguably another track to add to the hit list. As expected, and as we've come to know with Everything Everything, it's another eccentric video which brings out the band's quirky side giving them the artistic licence they seem to enjoy. This is definitely one to turn up...
