Art + Design: Jenni Sparks's Illustrative Map of London

The artist (Jenni Sparks) showing off her masterpiece of London

What we have here is what can only be described as an incredible illustrative portrayal of central London and parts of Greater London, hand drawn by graphic designer and illustrator Jenni Sparks. The close-up snapshots provided by design magazine Dezeen, show close-ups of the time and detail that has gone into producing this excellent project by a talented artist.

With epic landmarks within the London Borough of Southwark and The City of London all accurately included in proportion, and represented in a somewhat playful and eccentric manner, some of central London's greatest vantage points are connected stupendously by way of the tube lines which are marked out via their respective colour keys across the map, and all in time for London 2012. A work of art and a working map - that's two-for-the-price-of-one... us Brits love a bargain!
