Releases: Lana Del Rey - National Anthem [FULL VIDEO]

So after being treated to a teaser of what is to be Lana Del Rey's next single from her debut album Born To Die, 'National Anthem', we were left in deep anticipation of the full video, unbeknownst as to when it was to be released. With A$AP knowingly playing the role of mid-century US President John F Kennedy, with Lana sumptuously playing his wife the First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy leading through the story of their well documented loving relationship, Lana arouses controversy by using a black man in A$AP Rocky, to portray the former President, all complete with mixed-race children as well. There's a lot of wealth and a lot of richness shown in the cinematic music video, where the couple are seen smoking copious amounts of cigars and cigarettes (as was the norm in the 1940s-60s) and embracing the high-life. This leads the storyline down the road leading to the death of JFK (played by ASAP Rocky), eventually ending in the deep sadness which would cause Jacqueline Kennedy to take her own life. An inspired take on a well documented era in American history and a must watch.
