This is a record we have just heard for the first time here at OBWD by California singer/rapper Childish Gambino and the name of the song is 'Heartbeat'. What struck us most about this record is the drop from smooth operator at the beginning into a Daft Punk-esque dance electronic dance beat which is pretty creative almost as if he was lulling us into a false sense of security. We heard this record on BBC Radio 1 earlier on Fearne Cotton's show and loved it straight away. It was essential that we brought the record to you, especially for those who haven't heard it already. The album of which this song features entitled 'Camp' has already done brilliantly on the American Billboard 200 going in at #11, proving this young man is a highly revered talent at this moment in time in the States.
