Releases: Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?

Seasoned Yorkshire outfit Arctic Monkeys don't seem to ever want to stop churning out tunes, but what is so good about the Arctic Monkeys is they seem to be bucking the trend of flopping guitar bands. Even the bands which enshrouded the Arctic during their mid-noughties prime (Pigeon Detectives, The Kooks, Hard-Fi to name a few) don't seem to be have as much timeless success as the Arctic Monkeys, who have collected no fewer than an impressive four out of four number 1 career albums. The Arctic Monkeys have a dedicated cult fan base which is not only strong in the UK, but internationally. They have had successes albumwise in America, and have had hit singles all over Europe. So what do we have here in 'R U Mine?' with a title that is reminiscent of a young teenage me writing in text message dialect. Well, the record is an intense grungy guitar record which breeds emotion and psychedelia. It's a true headbanger which reminds you why the Arctic Monkeys are so successful even to today. The song as always with the Arctic Monkeys has been a success in the UK Singles Chart, and we should be expecting a fifth album from the Sheffield boys possibly this year, if not next. Drummer Matt Helders confirmed earlier this week that the band are actually working on new material as well, so we have something to look forward to. Check it out...
