Releases: Kasabian - Man of Simple Pleasures [Official Video]

Here we have the release of the official video for Kasabian's latest single 'Man of Simple Pleasures', from their critically acclaimed fourth album Velociraptor!. The song and video have been largely under the radar, with us only just finding out that a video had been released. The song itself is lyrical genius, and it is reminiscent of 'Clint Eastwood' by Gorillaz. It's got a melodic instrumental that's easy to sing along to, and a hearty powerful ending that's belted out by Serge in true Kasabian fashion. The video features a youngster on a BMX riding around a council estate with the lyrics being produced on the back of his t-shirt as he cycles through his neighborhood with a baseball bat strapped to his back whilst covering his face. Personally, when we watched it for the first time we though it would all have something to do with the London riots of last summer. But we would assume that the young man on a BMX is an extended metaphor for the lyric at the end of the song 'You wont take me for a ride / I'm far to fast for you to keep up with me'. The man in question also at the end of the sequence swings his baseball bat as a baseball flies toward him. Very mysterious indeed, have a watch for yourself and see what you think....
