It is with no great surprise that we here tonight on BBC Radio 1's chart show that Nicki Minaj's second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has gone straight in at #1 on this week's Official Album Chart. The saucy Trinidad born American singer has been no stranger to controversy in recent months with a lot of speculation surrounding her citing a rift between her and veteran female rapper Lil' Kim, and this has not been aided by the release of her highly controversial video 'Stupid Hoe', which has more dislikes than likes on YouTube. But the album has done extraordinarily well this week, beating competition from the likes of Labrinth who was hoping to secure a #1 with Electronic Earth, but will happily settle for a #2 behind Minaj.
