Art + Design: Diet Coke x Jean Paul Gaultier

So here we have 'Night & Day', a project by Jean Paul Gaultier and soft beverage company Diet Coke which drifts between the world of art and fashion. Gaultier uses the iconic slender design of the Coca-Cola bottle as the basis of his artistic muse, with the extensive marketing project being pretty eccentric to say the least. The trademark naval stripes that he is known by internationally, are incorporated into the white 'Day' design bottle, whist the 'Night' bottle is slightly more raunchy, featuring a lace corset strung around the Coke bottle which is used as almost a mannequin, in both instances. It seems to have been a bit of a fun loving advertisement campaign and exercise for Gaultier and Coca-Cola, of which sees Mr Gaultier express his inner camp side - you only have to take a look at the photos above to notice this! Anyway check out the ad below which is set to hopefully to be appearing on a screen near you. Make you you get hold of one of these limited edition bottles when they're released! The collectors items will available in nine countries across Europe sometime this month, so British and fellow EU readers be on the look out! A third limited edition bottle entitled 'Tattoo' is set to be available later this year as well so say tuned...
