Releases: Miles Kane - First of My Kind [prod. Skream]

Decisive: Miles Kane is enjoying
new creative freedoms

When we at OBWD find out that Miles Kane was dropping a single produced by Skream earlier last week, we were more than elated and you'll be pleased to know this odd, but wonderful combination does not disappoint. Coming off the back of his Top 10 album 'Colour of the Trap', and a successful stint supporting Kasabian on their live arena tour, Kane pursues once more the echoey rock ballads that once brought his and fellow Yorkshire man Alex Turner's (lead of Arctic Monkeys) splinter band The Last Shadow Puppets, such undisputed fame in the mid-noughties. 'First of My Kind' similarly emodies the emotion that is illustrated in Kane's debut album, whilst briefly touching on the dramatic theatrical sounds of The Last Shadow Puppets as with natural assertiveness. With it already having been BBC Radio 1 disk jockey Zane's Lowe's 'Hottest Record in the World', Kane is already receiving positive signals from his latest single which is a good sign. What is also interesting is that the Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane have both released two absolute tunes right at the same time. Hopefully 'First of My Kind' shares the same chart success that Arctic Monkeys' 'R U Mine?' [OBWD article] has undergone recently. Anyway we wont keep you any longer, check this one out, it's nice....

'First of My Kind' will be availible for download on all major digital music stores from 21 April 2012
