It appears that Gotye's time in the #1 sun is finally beginning to set with Katy Perry today stealing the #1 spot on the UK midweek sales chart. The latest single by the American entitled, 'Part of Me' is set to become her third UK number one, and this is most certainly due to the promotion she gained whilst performing on Monday at the Maida Vale studios in an intimate exclusive BBC Radio 1 gig which you can listen to HERE. 'Part of Me' is trailed by Sean Paul's latest single 'She Doesn't Mind' which entered at #2, and Sean Paul is no stranger to the UK crowd either. As always it all comes down to Sunday when the official number one is announced, so can she hold onto her spot? or will Sean Paul have late resurgence... We'll just have to wait and see!
